Journal Article 1404/01/14 <p class="ABSTRACT" style="line-height: 115%;">The present study aimed to determine the effectiveness of abstinence-based residential treatment on improving executive functions among individuals with substance use disorder undergoing treatment in Kerman City. This quasi-experimental study employed a pretest–posttest design with a control group. The statistical population consisted of 420 clients receiving treatment in abstinence-based residential centers in Kerman in 2024, from whom 40 participants were purposively selected and randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. The experimental group received a 90-day abstinence-based residential treatment protocol approved by the Iranian Welfare Organization, while the control group remained on a waiting list. Executive function deficits were assessed using the Barkley Deficits in Executive Functioning Scale (BDEFS). Data were analyzed using analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) after confirming statistical assumptions including normality and homogeneity of variances. ANCOVA results indicated significant posttest differences between the experimental and control groups across all executive function components after controlling for pretest scores (p&lt;0.05). Abstinence-based treatment significantly reduced deficits in time self-management, self-organization and problem-solving, self-control and behavioral inhibition, self-motivation, and emotional self-regulation. Large effect sizes were observed, with the strongest effects reported for self-organization/problem-solving (η²=0.74) and self-control/inhibition (η²=0.726), demonstrating substantial cognitive and behavioral improvements associated with the intervention. Abstinence-based residential treatment represents an effective comprehensive intervention for enhancing executive functioning in individuals with substance use disorder and may contribute to strengthened self-regulation capacities, improved rehabilitation outcomes, and reduced relapse risk.</p> <p class="a" dir="RTL"><span lang="AR-SA">هدف پژوهش حاضر تعیین اثربخشی درمان مراکز اقامتی میان‌مدت پرهیزمدار بر بهبود کارکردهای اجرایی افراد مبتلا به اختلال مصرف مواد تحت درمان در شهر کرمان بود. این پژوهش به روش نیمه‌آزمایشی با طرح پیش‌آزمون</span><span lang="AR-SA" style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif';">–</span><span lang="AR-SA">پس‌آزمون همراه با گروه کنترل انجام شد. جامعه آماری شامل 420 مددجوی دارای اختلال مصرف مواد در مراکز اقامتی میان‌مدت شهر کرمان در سال 1403 بود که از میان آنان 40 نفر به‌صورت نمونه‌گیری هدفمند انتخاب و به‌طور تصادفی در دو گروه آزمایش و کنترل جایگزین شدند. گروه آزمایش پروتکل درمان پرهیزمدار مصوب سازمان بهزیستی را طی دوره اقامت 90 روزه دریافت کرد، در حالی که گروه کنترل در فهرست انتظار باقی ماند. داده‌ها با استفاده از مقیاس نارسایی‌های کارکردهای اجرایی بارکلی گردآوری و با تحلیل کوواریانس تحلیل شدند. مفروضه‌های آماری شامل نرمال بودن توزیع داده‌ها و همگنی واریانس‌ها پیش از تحلیل بررسی و تأیید شد. نتایج تحلیل کوواریانس نشان داد پس از کنترل اثر پیش‌آزمون، بین دو گروه آزمایش و کنترل در تمامی مؤلفه‌های کارکردهای اجرایی تفاوت معناداری وجود دارد (</span><span dir="LTR">p&lt;0.05</span><span lang="AR-SA">). درمان پرهیزمدار موجب کاهش معنادار نارسایی‌های خودمدیریتی زمان، خودسازماندهی و حل مسئله، خودکنترلی و بازداری رفتاری، خودانگیزشی و خودنظم‌جویی هیجانی شد. اندازه اثرها بزرگ و قابل توجه بود و بیشترین اثر مربوط به مؤلفه‌های خودسازماندهی/حل مسئله (</span><span dir="LTR" style="font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif';">η²</span><span dir="LTR">=0.74</span><span lang="AR-SA">) و خودکنترلی/بازداری (</span><span dir="LTR" style="font-family: 'Calibri','sans-serif';">η²</span><span dir="LTR">=0.726</span><span lang="AR-SA">) گزارش شد که نشان‌دهنده نقش قوی مداخله در بهبود عملکردهای شناختی سطح بالا است. یافته‌ها نشان داد درمان مراکز اقامتی میان‌مدت پرهیزمدار مداخله‌ای اثربخش در بهبود کارکردهای اجرایی افراد دارای اختلال مصرف مواد است و می‌تواند با تقویت خودتنظیمی شناختی، هیجانی و رفتاری، پایداری درمان و کاهش خطر عود را ارتقا دهد.</span></p> https://jhpbd.com/index.php/hpbd/article/download/257/180
