A comparison of the effectiveness of training to control the infatuation syndrome with schema-based premarital education on marriage orientation and acceptance of the role of spouse among students was conducted. The research method was a quasi-experimental design with two experimental groups and one non-matching control group with pre-test, post-test and follow-up. The statistical population was all female students in Isfahan in 1403, from which 60 were selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria and in a purposeful manner and were randomly assigned to three research groups. While the control group was on the waiting list, the two experimental groups received pre-marital interventions to control the infatuation syndrome and schema-based education. All subjects were assessed using the research tools, which were: Marriage Orientation (Yousefi, 1400, quoted in Rocky, 2023) and Acceptance of the Role of Spouse (Yousefi, 1404). They were evaluated in three stages: before, after, and follow-up. The collected data were analyzed at two levels of descriptive statistics (mean and standard deviation) and inferential statistics (ANOVA with repeated measures and Bonferroni post hoc test). The results showed that both methods were significant on the dependent variables. Thus, it can be said that both methods had a significant effect on improving marriage orientation and acceptance of the spouse role.
